Overview

RegTech Conference 2026 returned to London on 26 March 2026 for its 9th annual event, bringing together delegates from more than 10 countries to explore the theme of Mastering AI-driven solutions.

The conference welcomed attendees from many of the world’s leading financial institutions, regulators and technology organisations, including the European Central Bank, Bank of England, SWIFT, HSBC, J.P. Morgan, Lloyds, Santander, UniCredit, Commerzbank and Deutsche Bank.

Having supported the 8th annual RegTech Conference, matm was asked to help for 2026, providing design, communications, social content and website support across the full campaign.

Our approach

Strong event marketing needs a clear thread running through it. For RegTech Conference 2026, that meant making every asset feel purposeful, connected and useful to the team delivering the event.

matm provided end-to-end marketing support across the build-up to the conference, the event itself and wider promotional activity.

Rather than treating each task as a separate piece of work, we looked at the full event journey. Every asset had a role to play, whether that was promoting the event, supporting sponsor conversations, giving speakers something to share, keeping delegates informed or creating a strong visual experience on the day.

We even provided QR codes on the presentation slides that linked to feedback forms; which allowed the participants to leave anonymous feedback. This meant the organisers could adjust the discussion topics, speaker lineup and other event details before the next event.

Bringing the new RegRisk brand into the event space

A conference gives a brand a lot of places to show up, from the stage and delegate materials to emails, social content and website updates.

We applied the new RegRisk brand identity across a wide range of conference materials, including printed stage graphics, delegate badges, social media assets, email campaigns, presentation decks and website content.

With RegRisk having many sub-brands, it was a great opportunity to showcase the brand’s ecosystem and demonstrate how each sub-brand is interconnected.

The aim was to create a strong and recognisable look for the event, while making sure the new brand worked properly across both physical and digital formats.

For the RegTech Conference team, this meant they had a joined-up set of branded assets that could be used confidently across promotion, sponsorship, speaker activity and event delivery.

Supporting the build-up to the conference

The build-up to an event is where interest, confidence and attendance are shaped.

In the months leading up to the event, the RegTech Conference team needed a regular flow of marketing materials to promote the conference, announce speakers, support sponsor conversations and keep delegates informed.

matm created a wide range of digital assets, including:

  • Social media promotional graphics.
  • Video shorts editing for social media.
  • Speaker social media assets.
  • Email signature graphics.
  • Sponsor proposal templates.
  • Promotional flyers.
  • Presentation slide decks.

These assets helped the team promote the conference across different channels while keeping the design style consistent and easy to recognise.

Speaker social assets gave contributors a simple way to share their involvement. Sponsor proposal templates supported commercial conversations. Promotional graphics and flyers helped maintain visibility in the run-up to the event.

Email marketing and digital communications

When event details change or important updates need sharing, email becomes one of the fastest and most direct ways to keep people informed.

matm designed and built promotional email campaigns to help communicate important event updates, highlight speakers and sponsors, and keep the conference front of mind with its target audience.

Due to the London strikes, matm turned around some urgent last minute email blasts for RegRisk to inform attendees that their travel arrangements to the venue may be affected.

The email designs followed the same visual style as the wider conference materials, helping each campaign feel connected to the rest of the event activity.

Keeping the website accurate and up to date

For delegates, speakers, sponsors and partners, the website is often the first place they go for information. If it is out of date or unclear, it can quickly create confusion.

As speaker details, session information, sponsor content and partner updates were confirmed, matm supported the website with ongoing updates and SEO input.

Our work included:

  • Updating the website for the 2026 conference.
  • Adding and organising speaker information.
  • Uploading session details.
  • Adding sponsor and partner content.
  • Adapting sponsor logos for use on the website.
  • Adding sponsor and partner website links.
  • Providing SEO support.
  • Managing ongoing website updates.

This helped make sure delegates, speakers, sponsors and partners had access to clear, current information throughout the campaign.

It also reduced pressure on the event team, who could pass website updates to matm knowing they would be handled quickly and carefully.

Creating event materials for the day itself

On the day of a conference, printed materials do more than fill a space. They help delegates find their way, give sponsors visibility and make the event feel organised from the moment people arrive.

For the physical event, matm designed a suite of printed materials to support the delegate experience and reinforce the conference identity throughout the venue.

This included:

  • Roller banners.
  • Delegate badges.
  • Stage sponsor boards.
  • Additional stage branding.
  • Supporting event graphics.

These assets helped shape the event environment, from registration and delegate touchpoints through to stage areas and sponsor visibility.

Video content for wider reach

Good event content should not disappear once the day is over. Video gives organisers a way to extend the conversation and keep the event visible across digital channels.

As part of the wider communications support, matm also edited podcast episodes for YouTube and created Shorts for social media.

This helped the RegTech Conference team get more value from its content by turning longer-form discussions into shorter assets suitable for digital promotion.

The video work supported the wider event campaign by giving the team additional content to share across YouTube and social channels, helping extend the conversation beyond the conference itself.

The results

The result was a conference campaign that felt joined up from first promotion to final delivery.

RegTech Conference 2026 had a strong, recognisable identity across its print, digital, email, video and website activity.

The project delivered a comprehensive package of event marketing support.

For the RegTech Conference team, this meant the event was supported by clear, well-managed marketing materials at every stage, from early promotion through to the day itself.

Having one joined-up marketing partner also helped reduce the need to manage separate suppliers for design, web, email, video and communications activity. This gave the organisers more time to focus on delivering the event, knowing the marketing assets and updates around it were being looked after.
